Psyop and Supercell Unveil ‘Brawl Stars’ Toy Story Takeover Trailer

A new animated cinematic trailer marks the exciting collaboration between Psyop and Supercell for a Disney Pixar Toy Story-themed takeover in Brawl Stars. This animated 3D trailer introduces Buzz Lightyear as the first-ever playable character from outside the Brawl Stars universe, available to players until February 5. The event also brings fresh skins, new game modes, and the Pizza Planet Arcade to the popular mobile game.

Buzz Lightyear Joins Brawl Stars for a Limited Time

From December 12 to February 5, Brawl Stars players can unlock Buzz Lightyear, who enters the game as a limited-time character. Buzz will be available in three distinct battle modes: Laser, Wing, and Saber. This collaboration also offers an exciting twist on existing characters, with Brawler favorites Colt, Bibi, and Jessie getting Toy Story-inspired skins. Colt will be transformed into Woody (Woody Colt), Bibi into Bo Peep (Bo Peep Bibi), and Jessie will be reimagined as Jessie (Jessie Jessie).

Unlock Exclusive Buzz Lightyear Skin for Surge After the Event

Once the event concludes, players will have the chance to unlock a special Buzz Lightyear skin for Surge.

Frank Keienburg on the Excitement of the Collaboration

Frank Keienburg, the General Manager of Brawl Stars, shared his enthusiasm about the collaboration: “Toy Story is the ideal collaboration for us, as the themes of teamwork and connection are at the heart of Brawl Stars. Just like Buzz Lightyear’s arrival in Toy Story, there’s always some rivalry and competition in our game, but it usually leads to mutual respect and friendship in the end. It’s truly exciting to partner with Disney and Pixar, and we are thrilled to introduce Buzz Lightyear as our first-ever non-Brawl Stars universe character, available for a limited time.”

Behind the Scenes: The Creative Team at Psyop

The trailer was co-directed by Doug Sweetland and Kyle Cassidy, with Christina Faraj as the CG Supervisor, Ryan Moran handling 3D animation, and Bryan Gonzales creating the stunning FX. The Toy Story event promises to bring both nostalgia and fresh excitement to Brawl Stars, making this takeover a must-play for fans of the game and the beloved animated franchise.
