On December 24, Morgan delighted her fans by posting an engagement announcement on Instagram. She proudly showcased her sparkling engagement ring while sharing a series of images from the special moment. In the caption, she wrote, “Merry Christmas Eve from me and my fiancée,” confirming the joyful news.
The Magical Proposal at Langley Glow Light Festival
In a heartfelt interview with People, Morgan opened up about the details of her surprise proposal. She shared how James had planned the perfect moment, taking into account her love for Christmas and its festive atmosphere.
“James knows how much I love Christmas, especially the lights,” said Morgan. “So, he took me to the Langley Glow Light Festival, which was such a beautiful setting.”
At first, Morgan didn’t suspect anything out of the ordinary. “We were walking around, and I thought he might propose on Christmas morning, so it completely took me by surprise when it happened that night,” she added.
A Sweet Surprise Despite Crutches
Although Karnik had recently injured his foot and was using crutches, he was determined to make the experience memorable for Morgan. “I asked if he was sure he wanted to walk around on crutches,” Morgan recalled. “He said, ‘For you, I’ll do it. I know how much you love this.’ I thought it was a bit suspicious, but didn’t think much of it at the time.”
The magical moment unfolded in the midst of the glowing lights and festive atmosphere, when James paused to “adjust his shoe” — and that’s when Morgan started to feel something was about to happen.
The Big Moment: James Pops the Question
It was then that Karnik dropped to one knee, holding out a ring and asking Morgan to marry him.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Morgan said of the proposal that took place on December 21 at the Glow Langley Festival in Canada. “He asked me to marry him, and of course, I said yes.”
The couple’s journey has been filled with love and milestones, and this engagement marks yet another beautiful chapter in their story together.
